Title: The Maiden
Writer: Frances C Holland
The gift of life and love, she was givin
torture and pain she was never to see
Pain and sorrow only horrors in her night
Wealth and health surrounded her, leaving her free
Living perfectly she was contempt
For why she suddenly became in fright
Is beyond anyones comprehension,in anyones attempt
Aware of her surroundings she fell from the light
Heading downwards with nothing in her way
Morning the loss of her innocense with all her might
She began to wonder why should she stay
Seeing no reason to continue her fight
Slipping deeper from her life of love and laughter
Pushing away anyone in her way
Feeling the thoughts in her head she sought with no degree
Everyone around her could nothing more but pray
As she fell into the dark hole of pain touching it all as she could see
Slashing her hope to survive, recieving the sign to no longer stay
Fallling faster from the tunnel of light
Feeling the rush of cold shadows on this wonderous day
She became less apparent of the fight
The day that had always been dreaded had been due to pay
This was the day she fell deep into the bright color
of denial and regret as she cut her heart with the
dagger of pain and sorrow, killing this beautiful maid
on this dreadful night.
