Title: Pop-Pop
Writer: Boot
This one's for you Walt, I know in heaven
you're able to hear,
Even though that you are gone,
it still brings me to tears,
To think of all the times we had
and all the fun we shared,
You'd be there to comfort me when
I was feeling scared.
You were always there for me when
I was feeling blue,
If I could only make one wish,
It'd be with you.
I know that you're at God's side
and everythings okay,
But I can't seem to forget about
that awful sorry day
When I heard I could not see
or to talk to you,
I cried for days knowing there
was nothing I could do.
I felt so helpless, I felt so scared,
I felt really down.
And even nine years later when I think
of it I frown.
I can still remember when
the hearse had drove away,
If only I had known ahead,
I would've had time to say,
"I love you pop-pop, please don't go,
I want to talk to you,"
Instead I had no chance to speak,
that ate my heart right through.
I know when the time is right
and it's my time to pay,
You'll open up the gates for me
on my dying day.
