Title: The Road Not Taken
Writer: Karen Jarrell
As I look back to yesterday,
I long for the vision to last,
But the more I see, the more I hurt,
Oh why do I cry for the past?
You were the prince I once knew,
A stranger to the wordly hate,
We struggled to find the same road,
We'd have to pay the price to wait.
Finally the wait was over,
We had found a road that met,
But somehow I missed the ride,
The moment I would come to regret.
Now all is over and done,
You have gone your separate way,
As I look at what could've been,
I hope your road will bring you back
to stay.
