In my last semester at Cornell I put together a 45 second animation using Adobe Premiere, 3D Studio r.3 (!), and Photoshop. I thought I should devote a whole page to it since other than HEV, it was my life's essence. (1997) (A note on the 'mon' or family crest to the right - it is the same symbol used by the Kodo Taiko drummers. The three 'commas' I heard from them means water, wind, and fire, but when I was doing my research I read it meant longevity. Anyone really know?)

This was my submission to the 1997-98 San Jose State University Chapter of the Industrial Design Society of America. The design for the IDSA letters were stolen from one of my brother's old drawings. The IDSA letters and the metal oval were rendered as separate objects in 3D Studio r.3 and composited in Photoshop. Then the SJSU was added in Photoshop. The picture was traced in black and white line art for the actual submission. It did not win. I think mainly because no one could read IDSA. (1997)

Modeled in 3D Studio r.3 and Truespace r.2 , here is a snail. (1994)

Modeled in 3D Studio r.3. The cross sections of the hull and curvature of the sails were taken from an actual boat. The water is actually just a flat surface with a bump map from a fabric texture.(1994)

The rendered image of the green robot (Armoured Trooper Votom) on the links page was rendered and textured by my brother, but the model was made in AutoCAD r.10 and r.11 in 1992 by my brother, Andy Kaiser, and me. The data was taken off a toy using Veneer calipers. We won first place for computer drafting at the Santa Clara County Fair. This is probably worthy of note since 3D models were pretty much no where to be found back then, especially at the high school level.
