My Greatest Enemy
I look at you.
I see my best friend,
The one who knows me like no one else.
I trust you with my secrets, my dreams, and my fears.
I look at you as my sister,
The only one who understands.
I look the other way for 5 minutes,
And you tell my secrets, my dreams, and my fears.
You stare me down and threaten me.
You curse me and look down on me.
What happened to the best friend that I knew so well?
The friendship is gone.
You murdered me from the inside out.
Why did you want to hurt me?
Why were my feelings no longer important to you?
You are now my biggest enemy.
Is that all you ever wanted to be?
