Jack Frost

My guitar finds a tune in the stars
note by note the moon dances,
the owls sing along with the campfire
swinging and swaying, he prances.

That night-time dew-bringer; silent Jack
hears as I play him a song.
He comes a little closer, in fact
I hear him sing all night long.

All in the light of the night silver,
unfurrow your brow, come sing!
Look in the lake; the mountains mirror,
there you値l see Jack looking in.

He値l smile and he値l say how we were fooled
by the beauty of the frost.
The cold frost that freezes the jewels
of Jacks little bag that痴 lost.

Then Jack will throw a stone in the lake
causing some ripples to come.
He値l be gone in a flash! You can奏 chase
Jack, one that wonders the world.

So you return, back to the fire where
I値l tell you a tale of mine.
How Jack and his bag found me up there;
the lake of Jacks mirror chimes.
