So who hasn't heard of Photoshop & Illustrator? Adobe is an incredible resource for designers especially if you have an Apple computer.
There was this incredible magazine about 5 years ago, all about the net with really intelligent articles, but of course I still subscribe even though the mag(rag) is plum full of pubs. Well I guess you should too! It's still on the cutting edge.
Have you ever been to Minneapolis? Did you know that some 1960's painters used housepaint to create their great POP ART works and they are falling apart and losing their value?- Well The Walker has it's share of them, although 1/2 of their collection is in storage, the museum posesses Oldenberg, Dine, Warhol, and off that crazy couch from the stereolab album with the headsets. As cool as Centre Pompidou or Le Musee d'Art Moderne in Paris, but the Walker is in my backyard! I will have links to those others later!
An incredible resource for designers
There are times that I am proud to be from Minneapolis, although the very things that make this city great seem to disappear over time. Namely great artists- Look at Husker Du and the Replacements either faded away or split town in search of another venture. This is what excites me about ANACAM. Ana Voog was a member of the now defunct twin cities band The Blue Up? Whose records are out of print/ also alumni of Mcad, Voog has done the opposite of other artists. She is the topic, the art, the subject of her site. Filmed live in her space-fed to the web. This performance artist has a brilliant site which reflacts her character, preferences, and life. Not to mention popular, she gets 70,000 hits on her site a day. Recently a film crew from Holland documented her weblife style on film- So She is global-living only 3 blocks away. The site is free to watch her live her daily life but if you want to see some more risque parts of her it's only $10.00 to subscribe. Enjoy!
My forever friend K. Jones, the craziest guitar playin', insightful, poetic man I know of course art officianado because I painted a mural at his old house....
Did you see my link about Heath Bunting? Well if you want to read more about him you can check out the link which was an article in Wired magazine- Fortunately, I will be in Toronto next week and may actually cross this cyber-punster's path, if he's still around.
There is a supercool webbuilding company in Japan and the woman started it is all about not letting stereotypical image of a good looking woman get miss interpreted- one can have tons of power and be in the forefront of her country's website market. Although it is not all in English there are some cool links and design.
There is this really cool guy-so he seems, His name is Fred. He lives in Singapore and he already linked his page to mine, so why not check his out, maybe he brought you to my site.
