LIKE A STONE, I

like a stone i lay very still i am very cold i can be smooth if i allow streams to run over me i can be used for foundations i can become part of a wall i can be saved for my appearance i can be cast far away and i will be found again i can be launched, to cause pain, and i can be used constructively, or i can just lie here and i can let the elements break me down, slowly. like a stone i am here because i am here and i don't care how i am used, just that i am used, in some way. copyright Steven Woods, 1997
