Series info:

The premise is rather simple- four young, attractive men with difficult, tragic (and coincidentally linked) pasts, and generally seeking some sort of redemtion or revenge, are recruited by a good willed super-power named Persia to live as assassins, Hunters of Evil, blah blah blah, under the guise of florists. It appears that evil at this particular time has taken the form of the Taketori clan, and is aided by two other assassin groups known as Schwartz (or, Black) and Schreint (Screaming). The Weiß boys and the evil guys and gals battle it out in a decently animated modern Japan, where horrible things happen to innocent people, and every girl dreams of "flower men". Okay, well maybe just a few of us. ^_^

The original Weiß was a series of radio programs. I think this is SO COOL! It reminds me of old time radio drama that was once so popular here. Also, Weiß Kreuz existed as a popular rock band, which... JUST RULES.

 

Top reasons I love this show!:

1) Yohji. Okay, not just Yohji, but all of the characters. .They're just awesome. Even Omi, who generally makes me want to kill someone.

2) Neat stories. Not afraid of getting serious. Even to the point of being melodramatic and fairly ridiculous. I sound like I have no idea what's going on. Haha. but I LOVE this. I think it's fantastic. I love getting drawn in, and sitting on the edge of my seat, and not being able to stop wa tching.

3) I love the idea of a genre/medium crossover. It's something that seems so rare in our culture. I'm honestly not too sure about how things like that are in Japan, but it seems to happen an awful lot there. Neat!

4) This one kinda goes along with number 3. The band thing. It's totally cool as! Kaikan Phrase has this, too. Bands based on TV shows. Nuts! It's like the Monkees! (yay!)
