Decoy
Long the defender of the frontier and provider of meat for the rural American family larder, the shotgun is the centerpiece of American freedoms, the right to bear arms. Here the firearm is juxtaposed with the decoy duck, both laying in wait for the avid hunter to take up their cause. The personal firearm is an entrenched icon of the frontier spirit that still dominates the American psychie. The frontier is disappearing, the gun control forces may be mounting, but the old reliable decoy still has its place in the hearts of Americans. Here it sits, on the edge of its seat. Is it, in effect, all dressed up and no place to go? For $450 it can go to your favorite hunter.
