apologue

      the king of elsewhere
      is in a corner
      of his bedchamber

      my love's forever
      though i'll be never
      said he in ponder

      my life is sweeter
      and much more somber
      than it's been bitter

      what shall i tell her
      so she'll remember
      her dear old lover

      he thought it wiser
      that lips are better
      when they are meager

      so did she enter
      into his chamber
      in such his manner

      when tears did utter
      the words far eager
      of this king-lover
