CALL FOR PAPERS
Proposals Due: October 15, 2000
We invite submissions to an open forum of ideas and methods in the teaching of literature.
Possible topics:
- genre
- period
- seminars
- survey classes
- technology
- translated texts
- foreign language
- teaching majors or non-majors
- theory
- teaching a thematically-based literature course
- teaching literature at different types of institutions using film, music, visual arts, or non-literary texts
- graduate student training for teaching literature
- teaching literature in humanities departments
Submit a paper, two-page abstract or proposal for a panel, presentation, 10- to 15-minute class, workshop, roundtable, or other creative method for modeling effective teaching practices.
