Last Gleaming

 What we do is

as simple as right

or wrong, waste or want,

well or poorly done.

Where did I park? Remember

when it was only a question

from hurry and hurry more?

Any act is less

than a whisper

Wear the bracelet, dear.  It’s just

a safety precaution.  It looks nice, really.

until it is determined

by the grace (or lack thereof)

that brands itself

onto another

You’ll grow to love it here.

The marigolds are lovely in June

who must do

what they must do.
