So, you say you want to be an artist, but you really don't know how to get started, or what to do to become a superb artist. Well, lucky for you, I am going to pass along to you some of the things that have made great artists over the centuries. Keep in mind that this list is a well guarded secret, and no artist alive will admit that it exists, so if you choose not to use it wisely, it will disappear...
How To Be An Artist...
Go for a walk, watch snails, swing on an old tire swing,
walk in the rain, dance in the rain, play in the rain, take a nap, cry while watching old movies,
sing a song while you are at the grocery, read bed-time stories and other children's books,
get excited about everything, invite someone dangerous to tea, go to the beach to collect sea shells, spend time in the toy store, make little signs on sticky pads that say "YES!" and post them all over your house,
make a banana split, then share it with a friend,
make up new rules, say "hello" to everyone, fly a kite, take the day off and go to the park, build sand castles,
take a bubble bath, do nothing, go and talk to the animals at the zoo,
watch the leaves blow in the wind, collect rainbows, sunbeams, and four leaf clovers,
take things apart so you can find out how they work,
have a pillow fight, watch ants, have a garden and just spend time watching the flowers grow, daydream while lying in a hammock,
get sunglasses with red, blue, purple, or green lenses, ride a bicycle, watch the clouds, talk to the trees,
go on an adventure,
listen to music, go to a playground,
have a picnic, give everything a name,
believe in magic, wonder about everything,
make friends with everyone, save the world and everything in it,
sing in the shower, blow bubbles, always say please,
climb a tree, go barefoot, and remember to share your love...
