SUMMER RAIN
Allow my love
warm as summer rain
to seep into your earth
seek out the thirsty root
to be transformed.
So moist and supple
come the blooms
of life.
In you I am fresh and new
tender as a young-green shoot
melodic as a whisper of wings
soft as eyelash kisses
on a burning cheek.
