A Man and his Wife have lived happily together for many years, untill This man's wife Dies. I Don't know how she dies, But she does. He is verry despontant over her death and decides to, in order to remain functional, write letters to his late wife, Evilyn.
Time passes and he begins to feel better. not that he's accepted her demise. In fact, he's forgotten all about it, and assumes that she is traveling. "why am I not MAILING These letters?", he asks him-self. "well, Because she's so far away. A VERRY long away. SPACE, infact."
So, He decides that he will just have to build a ship, and go visit. spending his time in his garage, bolting,welding and taping miscilanious things together,(much like this site) his only companion is his cat (I envision a white one). Of course the ocasional neighbor wanders in, sees what he's dooing and applies it to their own interests. IE- "What a lovely Fishing rig! I used to go deep sea fishig back when...."
Eventially, the day comes to try the thing out. He spends the day before packing His favorite clothes (The ones that no one else nessarily liked but him), and various items for himself an his cat. The next morning, Rand, Misty, and a cup of coffee are out at the garage at the brink of dawn.
They go into the ship through a heavy hatch, and close it.
There is a "meow", The hatch opens, and a hand scoops up a stray cat toy on the ground, and the hatch closes again.
The hatch opens once more to jetison a half consumed cup of coffie that shatters on the ground .
The hatch slams shut, and all hell breaks loose as The Monstrous thing lurches forward through the garage door, Spewing flames as it goes.
Flaming roaring cataclismic Flight as The odd looking "thing" hurtles off into the Peaceful, blue cool, morning sky (sheding an ocasional flaming wing as it goes.)
Does, he Die? Hell, no! The evilyn is now minus a few parts, but space bound, and the real adventures begin.
Does he finally find his wife, or is she really dead, or maybe boath?
I have no Idea at this point.
