September 26, 1998: "It was a fun day. Went to Pisa and Lucca. The leaning tower really does lean far, and Lucca is the most picturesque town I've seen so far. In Lucca we had lunch at the worst cafe, but our guide made up for it by taking us to the best gelateria. They had real fruits stuffed with ther corresponding flavor. I had a strawberry, two walnuts, and a pear. You can see their napkin here." | ![]() |

A nice view of the baptistery, cathedral and leaning tower.
The baptistery of Pisa.
Inside the cathedral...it's prudence. It is said that this small sculpture inspired Botticelli's Birth of Venus.
My roommate Christie and I pose for a quick shot.
