Sealed off from the souls of men Sacred relics lay in reliquaries Hip bone of Mary, spacious for birthing, Weeps to dry the tears of infertility The Chalice from The Last Supper Hungers to quench thirst Frail fingers of John the Baptist Presses to rebirth dead souls The net that Peter held Gapes open to feed mouths below hollowed eyes Splinters of Cross Carries redemption "Partake," each one wails Fearful of oblivion
