"My Angel"

As I sit here in isolation
My heart frozen with fear
I look at the world around me
And wish for someone to be near.
My life is an endless battle
I don't even try to fight
I look at the clouded darkness
And wish for a ray of light
I wonder if up above me
Beyond what I cannot see
Through the starlight and heavens
Will be an angel to watch over me.
Suddenly from out of nowhere
As the clouds begin to part
A beautiful image emerges
Goes directly to my heart.
For one moment all is clear
Your face appears before me
The one I hold so dear
You are the angel I could not see.
