Usually, in my experience, I have to pay the Man.
Invariably, I owe the Tax Man, the Student Loan Man, the Phone Man, the Electric Man, etc. All the men I know have their hands out, but this week, I got a check from the Big Man, George Bush. I'm a democrat and Mike doesn't vote, but apparently, George didn't care and sent us money anyhow. What a Man! Because I've worked it out with the Student Loan Man, I didn't have my check snagged by the gubment and we actually got a check from the Tax Man. And this is a good thing because the DSL Man and the Credit Man are all standing around waiting for their money, too, and now, I can dedicate even more of my existence to paying the Man. What's really nice about this is that for the first time in our relationship, my man is actually making more money than I am. And he gives it all to the Woman. My job is then to pay the Man. The bad news is that we bought a little used Subaru. I paid the man $1400, so that my man could take the car to work to make money for his woman so that I can pay the Man and take the kids swimming, occasionally. Well, I have to go cash some checks and pay the Phone Man and the Electric Man. |
