Peter R. Gerbert has been working with Florida Wildlife Federation as their featured artist since the spring of 1997. Together they have begun a number of projects that generate more wildlife awareness throughout Florida.

In a joint effort with the National Wildlife Federation and the approval of Florida Governor Jeb Bush, 600 of Peter R. Gerbert’s “Life in the Everglades” posters were shipped to Congress in the fall of 2000 to help convince Congressmen of the importance of the new Everglades restoration bill. Every member was presented with this extraordinary, colorful poster to keep for their own. The bill was passed unanimously.

With his close attention to the time of year, the weather, animal relationships, insects, and the plant life that makes up a particular Florida habitat, most of Peter R. Gerbert's new Limited Edition Prints are being endorsed by the FWF, along with a set of high-quality collector mugs and note cards. Many other new and exciting wildlife art products are currently in the works. A percentage of the sale of any product with the endorsement of the Florida Wildlife Federation will directly benefit wildlife conservation efforts in Florida. Products are now available through the FWF's web site, Mr. Gerbert's Art Studio Web Site, art galleries, and wildlife attractions throughout Florida. The "Life in the Everglades" poster also hangs as a visual tool in many Florida Public Schools.

Since 1937, the Florida Wildlife Federation has represented Floridians in conservation, preservation, restoration and resource management issues. The Florida Wildlife Federation is affiliated with the National Wildlife Federation, America’s largest and most influential conservation organization.
