The Greatest Christmas Present
I shall wrap for you a boxful of love
And shall use my finest wrapping paper...
One with Christmas cupids and doves
I wrap it with all my heart and with pleasure...
I'll tie it with a scarlet ribbon
Then place a satin red bow on top, my love
My heart feels that this is the best present it has ever given...
I shall place it underneath the christmas tree
For all the world to see!
This present is a very valuable present
It is priceless...
You will find it sweet and pleasant
It will extend itself throughout eternity...
The gift that will always keep on giving...
I am sure it will fit you, sweetie...
I am certain this will be the greatest christmas present you will ever receive...
It will wrap itself around you to keep you warm all through the days and nights
This gift has a lifetime guarantee
Free from defects and it doesn't require batteries...
Enjoy my Christmas gift to you...

The Dark Knight
Everybody has an interview with the Dark Knight;
Some sooner or later.
We all have a contract, legal and binding
And at the end of our lease
He'll come to collect what is rightfully his; |
|
Fear not the Dark Knight
When he comes to claim what is His.
He'll stab you with his two-edge lance
And greet you with His icy kiss; |
|
Some say he's a demon
Others say he's a caped crusader on a heroic campaign;
I say he is an angel of mercy,
So embrace him with a banner of courage
For he will guide you safely
Through the valley of your darkest hour. |
|
There is a light at the end of the tunnel
Each cloud has a silver lining...
After each deluge there is a rainbow of hope.
The Dark Knight is the Lighthouse which will guide us safely
Through our darkest night

Homeward Bound
I look upon the celestial night above.
A trillion stars light the way
A beacon of love...
A lighted pathway...
That leads me homeward bound;
|
|
When chaos gets the best of me...
When dark clouds shade my mind...
And all I can see
Are heartaches and the burden which the heart does bind
The spirit downward
and anchors it until it falls into an abyss...
I close my eyes
And release all cares mundane
And find a mystique peace
Then look heavenwards towards the brightest star...
And sprout wings to where you are!

Ad infinitum
On a starry night I look above
And count a gazillion, celestial luminaries.
Each star raves and brags upon him whom I love,
And counts all his virtues up for me
The sum of which makes whole new galaxies
Which live within my heart;
The celestial bodies aren't big enough to chart
All of my beloved's essence
He alone is his own infinity
Of charm, wisdom and goodness!

 Teddy and The Rose
They met one picturesque afternoon.
‘Twas early summer, I pressume.
At the Paradisal Gardens, all festooned
With an air of opulence and the perfume
Of concentrated Rose Attar;
He was a prestigeous gentleman
Dressed in fine attire
A man of the highest echelon
One might find in the pages of Esquire;
And she, a simple belle,
Tall and elegant and lean.
A very exquisite and unique girl.
She wore a dress so tight and emerald green
Her skin so soft, her cheeks all rosey!
She stood there by the white-picket fence
On that warm sunny afternoon
And as he walked by he was smitten by her radiance
and he knew that on that picture-perfect day in June
He would lose his heart forever!
All he knew of life and love seemed so infantile
Till this day when he marvelled upon
this stunning work of Art.
He was captivated by her smile...
So hot like the sun that it melted his heart
And made his mouth thirst for more...
And thus began the budding romance
between Rose and Theadore!
A perfect couple they were...
A match made in heaven no less!
Overjoyed by each other
They remained in a beatified state of bliss;
Yet when joy is at its greatest
The heart puts love
To the highest test...
A simple test so easy, yet so tough
To prove true love’s endurance;
To see if it will last!
Thus Theadore was sent upon a mission
And had to leave Rose far behind.
Her heart was broken
As was her shattered young mind,
But she fought off tears
as she waved her beloved goodbye;
The years went quickly by
And Rose’s beauty has slowly waned
Her color has drifted from her face and her eyes
Bare many furrows, yet she cannot complain...
For in her heart and soul does lie
The portrait of her Theadore...
And his image keeps her young and supple!
He, an older man, warn out by life’s bitterness
No longer young and handsome he seems to struggle
Inspite of all life’s turbulance.
With the aid of a cane he walks on and on
An endless journey
And in his travels he began to wander
Through many familiar venues.
His mind began to ponder,
If this was dejavu...
When his heart failed him so suddenly
Many years ago one picture-perfect afternoon!
His eyes, two pea-like slants caught sight
Of a formless shadow
Drawing nearer he could see to his delight
It was his Rose...the lady of his heart which long ago
He left behind to pursue an aimless quest
His heart still beat with a mighty zest
Like a frightened bird
Beating against a cage within his chest...
And kneeling beside her,
He embraced his beloved in a warm embrace.
He found her a frail figure
And her beloved face
Pale with a ghostly sheen like a wounded dove.
His heart could hear her undying spirit
yearning deep within
With a passionate rage, defying all but love
Yet in his eyes he saw her as before...
A raging beauty in all her splendor...
As he scooped her dying body off the barren earth
Drawing her near to his chest, kissed her lips
Whilst she took her dying breath!

 An Angel Walked With Me!
Once upon a heartache, When life to me seemed like a burden,
And my heart was hurting so that I thought that it may break...
Somehow I found solace,
And the strength to carry on!
Though my world was tumbling down
And my heart so heavy I thought may touch the ground...
I've always felt a loving presence
Telling me "Darling...It's alright!"
I've always felt some invisible arms around me...
Holding me ever so tight...
And a soothing voice to calm my sobbing eyes...
All through the years I thought I walked this godforsaken earth
sore afraid and lonely...
When all along life's unsteady path...
An angel walked with me! ...
When my heart was bound by chains of brass...
I swear that an angel walked with me!

Dedicated to 'my' Angel...
Alex!
Thank you, darling! For walking with me! I love you so! Love, Your Mary!

Love’s Transaction
Looking deep into each others’ eyes,
Beneath a golden sunset
Two lovers exchanged their most cherished prize...
Love’s perfect matching amulet! |
|
|
|
Taking her hand, he placed his gift upon her open palm
And with the greatest love and pride,
With a bright smile and the greatest calm,
Addressed his future bride: |
|
"Darling, as long as you have this...
You shall always have me by your side.
It shall always, always give you many years of bliss...
But take good care of it, my love...my bride!
As it is my very soul you carry" |
|
Drawing her hand upon her purse
She drew out a small bundle
"Darling, This is the greatest treasure I possess...
It shall keep you company...and forever warm your soul! |
|
|
|
As token of their deep affection and commitment
They offered each other their own hearts
To wear as some great ornament.

Withdrawal
Cold droplets,
Like stinging, hot dew
Forms upon a rose in clammy, wet rivulets.
Earth parched dry
Thirsts for a few drops of rain
Whilst cursing a hot, raging red sky
For its cruelty and crime against the terrain; |
|
Feverish convulsions fiercely shakes
The weary bones with such a violent intensity
Like a mighty earthquake. |
|
In agony, a frightened bird flaps its’ wings
Against an iron brass cage...
Its’ plumage burns and stings
Covered with blood and boils
It screams in a skull-shattering rage!

A Heart's Forecast
Dear sweet heart of mine...
With thyself please be gentle.
See, the golden sun does shine
After the downpour of your soul...
Behold! Love's rainbow in the sky,
Beams down upon you, piercing your darkest cloud.
The heavens extend its 'kerchief so you can dry
The lonely teardrops that like a shroud
All rays of happiness covers like a dark mantle!
