Two Different Styles of Brake Shoes
The picture above, details two different styles of brake shoes that may be used on a CT-70.
The shoe at the right (the "clean one") is used, and shows a "much thinner" pad lining.
The one at the left is "brand new", and is Honda part number:
45120-GAG-003. I purchased 4 of these, but when
I tried to install them, the springs I had were too long (because of the different location
of the Brake Return Spring Holes). Since I did not have the right springs, I could not install them.
If anyone has a CT-70 model that uses these types of shoes (the one at the left), I would appreciate receiving
information about the model year of the bike, or the "length" of springs required to allow me to use these new shoes.
If you happen to have a "Honda Part Number", that would be great too. Of course, I'll post any information received
right here, for all to benefit from.
E-Mail me
here.
