untitled i
seemingly dead in a silent world,
i quietly listen and notice with wonder
at the innocent boy-like features
you possess as you let go of the mask
you always seem to have
against a cruel world
in which life has always been unfair
to someone as wonderful and incredible as you
slowly drops of water slide down
as i realize the magnificence of the love we share
and how much i love you
and will miss you in the times that we are apart...

untitled ii
i don't want to see you
and then say goodbye
i don't want to hold you for a moment
then miss you for an eternity
i want to be with you
and watch as the seasons change
i want to experience the magic and beauty of love
as the stars burn bright in the midnight sky
untitled iii
heaven's light, nature's fury
spirits dance unhurriedly
fireflies burn, crickets sing
planets slowly orbiting
stars shine, sun embraces
daises in reflective vases

to start a friendship
the way to start a friendship is this--
go out and meet new people
talk and be happy,
conversational and fun.
the way to keep a friendship strong is this--
don't talk all the time,
but listen to others,
speak their mind.
women are from venus,
men are from mars.
didn't they know that friendship is enhanced by differences afar?
on earth, we respect each other's way of life,
some adults know the meaning of respect,
children may know more than adults suspect.
today, many people still form new friendships,
adults and children alike,
still greet each other happily.
you have to be willing to respond good-naturedly, too.
and the way to start, they say,
is to understand yourself,
and everybody else.
and you'll be more diverse,
in one more lifetime.
if a friendship has blossomed,
ever so much more than before,
then do not question its effect,
but treasure it,
day by day.
that's part of the magic,
that's the way to start a friendship.
