I bought an old house to remodel and found several glass insulators. I don't collect but yet I don't think I would sell either. I just saw a part of a show on the HGTV network that was on glass insulators.
I wasn't aware of there being any clubs, or websites, so immediately i surfed yours was the one with the most hits, so now i reviewing your site to see if i can find any history on the ones that i have.

Hello,
I recently purchased a glass insulator because it looked neat! Now I would like some idea of what it is worth. I'm not really wanting to sell it, just curious. I looked at a few websites and I think it might be a "CD 283". It is marked:
HEMINGRAY
No 1 "PROVO" TYPE
PATENTED APRIL 25, 1899
PATENT MAY 2, 1893
It does have a chip in the bottom and a couple of cracks near the chip.
Any info would be appreciated!
