Mattress Art: Reinvention October 8,1999-November 12, 1999 Dana Bellanger One Woman Show at the Jaques Art Center in Aitkin, MN. My first one woman show will feature a broad spectrum of works ranging from my beaded handbags, to my original mattress art, to my furniture designs. The last time art show that I participated in, with an exception to the Loring Park Art Fair, was in Paris in 1994. Therefore many of the works in this one woman show will be on public exposition for the first time. The Beat Radio Story During the last year the Twin Cities, Phoenix, Denver, LA, and Philadelphia have been able to hear Beat Radio. Now off the air, only operating online in Real Audio at www.beatworld.com. Starting out as a pirate station transmitting out of the Loring Park neighborhood, this sacred techno/dance station has provided the type of non-commercial sound one can usually only find in those energy filled discos or in more international cities like New York, London and Paris. Spin Control a printed 'zine created by myself and Matt Zumwalt of Beat Radio promotes the dance , music, and arts scene of the Twin Cities. Our first issue came out in Februaury 1999. Our second issue is in the making.
