About Joey

Joey "The Street Poet" Manster first burst upon the poetry scene in the 1983 when he wrote his epic, "Salad with Blue Cheese", during a late night session at an apartment in his Midwest hometown. Joey penned the epic in response to what he felt were the haughty elitist attitudes of a couple of friends and fellow college students, both majoring in English at the time, who while they talked the talk, could not, he felt, walk the walk, as far as their own writing skills. Fortunately, the original copy of the poem has now been located and this pivotal work, along with three others written at the same session, can now be made available on the web. His latest works take the dream-like spacey style of his epic to new degrees. Check out what fellow poet Zero describes as Joey's "oft disjointed, oft misunderstood" stylings Here.
