First off, I'm not not saying that I'm perfect and everybody else isn't. That far from true, but I do believe in this. Colleges should have a section on their entrance exams to see if the students are mature enough to attend college. That way, all the people who have "grown up" and are responsible adults can do what is needed to be done here. Learn.
This is no longer the joke that what is called high school anymore. This is college and with that certain responsibilities. College is not a four year party fest. Again I say college is where you come to learn. Nothing else comes before that. If you wanted to party and have no cares in the world, then check yourself into a local hotel and party all you want away from us.
Let me give you some examples of immaturity. Getting drunk every chance you get is the biggest. It's such a lovely sound to here intoxicated people roaming around my hall. Smelling up the place, bothering everyone you pass with the mindless talk you pour out. Bothering the RA's that help you into your bed because you can't do that yourself. (This has to be demeaning to yourself.)
Sure, you might say, "I drink to relieve the pressures of college." Sure it does. It relaxes you so much that you don't have any control over your own body. It also relieves pressure in your head by killing off some of those brain cells. My idea of relaxing is being able to remember what I did to relax.
There are the stereos that are turned up to loud that let everyone else hear it even though there is a good chance that some people don't like your kind of music. There is the screaming and bellowing through the halls during quiet hours, not flushing after you're done, and the general idea of not comprehending that there are other people around you.
My advise is to comprehend reality and grow up. If you don't, then reality will make it's presence know to you. Use your common sense. If you think in the slightest that it will be annoying to others then don't do it. Start to think farther then the next second. Start becoming the adult that you are. The time has past for childish games. Grow up. Mature. Cause if you don't care, then what reason do the rest of us have to care about you?
