my experience with the music of Bride
The first time I ever heard the music of Bride was when I
was with the same basic friends of friends that I was with
when I first heard Precious Death. I remember riding in the car (pretty
darn packed) and one of the guys had just bought the new
(it was new then) Bride cd called "Scarecrow Messiah". When he
turned it on I was very surprised to hear exactly how good and
strong the music was. I knew right then and there that I had
to get that tape and any other Bride albums I could get my
hands on.
I had heard OF Bride before that. I remember seeing Bride
cds in the shelf as far back as 1991 when I saw "Kinetic
Faith" in the shelf. I also remember actually thinking about
buying it, but decided to buy "Novella"'s album Liquid
Earth instead. (of course I would have enjoyed Kinetic
Faith MUCH more. But I didn't realize that until after I
heard both of them.) My sister was a member of the Heaven's
Metal mailing lists and stuff. I remember seeing the name
Bride on those too. I just never actually heard Bride until
that moment.
Since then I have really gotten into the music of Bride pretty
heavily. After all, their music rocks and their message is
very bold. I have also visited their homepage and have e-mailed
a little with them and have bought a good amount of their cds and
cassettes.
I own the following albums: "The Jesus Experience" on cd,
"Shotgun Wedding: 11 #1 hits and mrs." on cd, "Drop" on cassette,
"Scarecrow Messiah" on cassette, "Snakes In The Playground" on
cassette, "Kinetic Faith" on cassette, and a
kinda messed up copy of "Live to Die" on cassette.
