In many ways a guitar really is a spiritual weapon. It is used to create sounds that plant ideas (and patterns of thought) into the minds of millions. The ideas sang with the guitar make big impacts on the listeners, but what would draw the people but the GUITAR. Without the guitar, rock music (or any decent music) would be nothing. People wouldn't even bother to come to the shows... the guitar has the power.

The power of the guitar can be utilized for both good or evil. And almost every time it is used for God's glory it is critized as being "of the devil" or "satanic" or some equally demeaning phrase. I have one question to ask "Why have so many rejected Christian people's use of this spiritual weapon called a guitar to help bring the message of Christ to people all over the world??"

I am not in a band (never have been). I only play (practice, acquire more skill) because I know that God wants me to use my guitar and my poetic ability to bring the gospel to thousands of starving (spiritually) people some day. He wants to use the meager talents I have to spread His love, His hope, His peace, and His joy to a broken generation. And I strive only to do His will...

What I play now is mostly either chords to praise music or tab to Christian hard rock/metal I get from Rockin' With the Cross (an AWESOME site). I'm currently working on writing some songs, but nothing is quite finished yet. When I finish them I will post them on this page...

Who is the prey of my guitar? It is the only enemy I have, or ever will have in this lifetime. The devil. The one who destroyed life and decieved many into believing his lies.. He is the only one I want to destroy.

My history with the guitar:

I don't remember the first time I decided I wanted to play the guitar. I guess I was fairly young when I decided that I wanted to. I thought a person who could play the guitar was awesome, and the sounds made by the guitars were really cool. So, I've basically wanted to play ever since I was a little kid.

It wasn't until the beginning of my junior year in high school that I actually started learning to play the guitar. I learned on a classical (which I hate now) guitar until my dad bought me my acoustic (December 1996). I learned more on that. (I still have this acoustic guitar) I played that for a while until my dad lent me the money (actually.. he basically just gave it to me.. as I don't think I ever paid it off) to buy my first electric guitar and amp. It was a korean rip off brand called "Rockwood" and the amp is also a korean rip off brand (and it is the only one I currently have).

I don't remember when I got either of them. I think my first pedal (a DOD distortion) was a birthday present and the other one (a Super Chorus) was a Christmas present one year.

So, I played that electric for about a year and half until it was finally too messed up and wouldn't even plug in. I picked up my acoustic and played that for a while. But, ended up leaving my guitar here (in Korea) when I went to visit the states last summer (summer 97).

While I was in the states I went and looked in some guitar shops. While in a few I priced guitars. At least I tried to price the decent ones, not the pieces of trash that cost as much as my first one. We (my dad and I) asked the guy which guitar was a good price and good quality at a particular shop. He pointed to the Peavey Predator.

about a week later I went back there with enough money for the guitar in my pocket (I got ALL my birthday money AND an advance on Christmas money from my grandmother). I sat down in a chair and played the guitar a little bit before I bought it to make sure there wasn't anything wrong with it (they had an amp that they allowed you to use). There was nothing wrong with it so I decided to buy it. My dad had to fork out 50 some dollars to buy me a nice hard case for it. (I never paid him back though) So, I left the states with a decent guitar and case.

Since then I've just been practicing and playing on my guitar and it has lasted and is in just as good of shape as it was when I bought it...
