my experience with the music of Precious Death
The first time I ever heard of Precious Death was the summer of
94 when I was
visiting (me and my family) an old friend of my sister. (and my
parents) I kinda hung around, not really fitting in, with my
sister and her friend's friends. Anyway, I somehow found myself
in the car one day with a couple of my sister's friend's friends (say
that 3 times fast). Anyway, they were guys. They asked me what I wanted
to listen to and I looked through their selection and saw some tape named
"Precious Death" and I asked them if it was any good. They said "are you
kidding" and then stuck it in the player.
What happened next I will never forget. The sound that came out of the
stereo was AWESOME!! I knew for sure that I had to get this tape. For
the next couple days I kept telling my mom that I wanted to get this
tape and eventually I did.
I remember the day that I finally got it. Me and my dad went on one of
those "father and son" activities and he let me select the music. I had
just bought "Precious Death"'s album Southpaw and I stuck it in
the player. I have no idea what my dad thought but I loved it. I don't
really remember much else about the rest of the evening.
Since then I have continued to listen to Precious Death's music,
especially their album if you must, because I got it on
cd and listen to my cd player the most. I am going back to listening
to tapes and have recently pulled Southpaw out of the closet
and enjoy playing it and singing with it while walking...
I own the following albums: If You Must on cd.
They did release another cd
Precious Death before they broke up. However I have not
gotten to buy this cd quite yet.
