conquering a problem God's way
and not ours.

     when we tackle a problem we tend to attack it where we think the problem starts, but in reality we are destroying only the outskirts of the sin. This is not very effective. It is like pulling up a weed at the top. We leave the root of the problem in the ground and soon it is back in our faces again.

     What we must do to completely destroy this sin is to give it up. To give it to God and let Him take care of it. He knows where the problem starts and He will go straight to the root of the problem and yank it out.

     This was revealed to me in the following way: The Lord told me to get a disk. He told me to pretend that the disk was my sin and first to pray over the problem than to break it. I prayed. (my first prayer was mostly like this: Lord, give me the strength to overcome this problem..etc...etc..) And then I tried to break the disk. Although I did some damage on the outside, the inside of the disk was unharmed. I asked the Lord why and He told me to get another disk. I got this one and He told me to do the same thing. I did it again. (this prayer was more like: Lord, I give you this problem...please break me of it) He told me to watch the difference in the way that the disk was broken...when I asked Him to take the problem, rather than having Him give me the strength. After I broke it then I opened it up. On the inside I saw that the middle of the inside of the disk was broken. Then the Lord revealed to me that I did not know exactly how to conquer the problem, so that is why it is better to give it to Him because He knows where the problem starts and He can attack it better than we can.
