the world is bigger than the world,
and i remember it sometimes 
when scavenging for pocket change
in the intestine of my jean.
the nickel in my golden hand
will buy for me a stick of gum
to chew with teeth and tongue until
it looses the intended taste.
the transformation of the gum
into a blob of tasteless goo
may sound tragic but feels true 
to my hard-chewing jaw's design.
the flavorless i will spit back,
but long since its predestined death,
and on the limbo doors i'll carve:
the world is bigger than the world.
