in sorrow, I was thinking how you

      in sorrow, I was thinking how you took
      me away from the despondency that
      suddens the moments of my existence;
      how, until you pored over quite a few
      gewgaws that amorally left me in
      shambles in dark corners within my mind,
      I was bound by the links that take back the
      promise of hope. I think so much of you
      that there is little consummation to
      accept that there is a kind of union
      beyond that which we can only desire
      but not fully achieve in this lifetime.
      it is in vain that we had hoped to love,
      for I can only maledict myself.
