Biographical Information

 

Education:

B.A. Florida State University, 1961, Advertising Design
M.A. University of South Florida, 1967, Art Education
Post-baccalaureate work in drawing and painting at PSU, 1986-87
M.F.A. Portland State University, 1990, Drawing &Painting
Currently I am teaching part-time at Portand State University. Before I moved to Oregon I taught 18 years at DeKalb College which is located in Clarkston, Georgia -- in metro Atlanta. For the last three years I have taught Life Drawing at PSU.
In the last 29 years I have taught a variety of art courses including: Beginning and Advanced Drawing, Color Theory, Beginning, Intermediate and Figure Painting. In my teaching I stress the importance of a strong foundation in basic skills such as drawing and design.
