My name is marcus and I am a 27 year old computer tech working for a national isp..."I guess that makes me a net goth"...:)
I suppose you actually may want to know something about me so here I go..I have loved "goth" as it is called since the mid eighties and have loved the old world art and style since childhood. I am not into "domination goth" or "punnk goth"..as people try to label things..not because I don't like the style but just because it is not me. I like the more romantic angle that gothic style has to it...not to mention the air of seriousness and respect that it carries.
..Now I guess I should say something here so that you may see how I feel about "gothic". Well...I think that gothic women are the most beautiful in the world..the clothes truly amplifies the beauty that women have. As far as men's fashion goes..I think it brings an air of respect and taste..not mention a sign of intelligence and an introspective symbol of passion that one carries with him. ..as far as "goth's" act..In the years past "goth's" were known to be kind and open not to mention quite passionate about theory, philosophy,and debate. These days I am geting kind of worried. It seems every time I go to the wreck room or Area39 that all I see are younger people (which is good) acting stuffy and stuck up (which is not good). This attitiude seems to be growing stronger. It seems almost as if people are trying to act the part of some stuffy character rather than being themselves and meeting others with common desires and likes. This I fear will be the downfall of the good rep (what's left of it) of the gothic community. .. I myself am in a position making good money and being stable have toyed with the idea of opening a "gothic" coffee house here in denver where "goth's" could hang out and read, talk, surf the web and meet new people. But with this new attitude circulating I fear that it would be a waste of time. If everyone ignores eachother what would be the point? ..write me and let me know how you feel about this. I would love to hear everyone's opinion. Well here are some pic's of me..dressing "nice" for work..after all it is an office enviorment. You gotta love the coat...I got it a a five and dime.
When I got it, it was the worst brown color you have ever seen in your life. some black ink (dye does not work on this kind of leather) and three hours of hell later..whalla..this coat. I have found some really nice silver buttons that I want to replace the current ones with.
I am looking for a coat similar to the one pinhead wore in hellraiser so if anyone knows where I can purchase one let me know. As well I would like a coat like the ones that they wore in sense and sensability..let me know if you have any idea where I may get one of those as well thanx...Tesla
