DESCRIPTION
Motorised rotation camera for rollfilms 120/220 as well as 70mm perforated film in cartridge (4.5m). The principle allows pictures to be taken of angles from 10 to 360-degree, in one continuous exposure free of distortion. It is also possible to make several rotations without stopping in between.
LENS
The ALPA Roto is equipped with a Grandagon 6.8/75mm lens. Vertical Shifting (upwards) of the lens is possible over 30mm. The standard lens is adjusted to infinity. It is possible to obtain a lens for photographing at short distances. Sunshade available. Filtermount:58. Our lenses are factory adjusted: the rear nodal point is exactly in the rotation axes. This gives maximum sharpness!

MOTOR DRIVE UNIT
The camera is equipped with a motor drive of 12V. It is supplied with a switch on/off and a second switch for rotation speeds A & B. On the motor is a coloured ring (set at 360-degree on the picture) that allows the free choice of the shooting angle.
REFLEX VIEWER
Through the viewer can be seen the reversed image in about the size of the slot. By rotating the camera on its own axes with the aid of the tripod head, it is possible to survey the preselected shooting angle. The viewer has a height of 70mm. Its black line gives the limit of the image when using 60mm film.

SLOT OF SHUTTER
The width of the slot is variable due to the two pivoting knobs which can be seen on top of the slot on the picture. The shutter speed is determined by the rotation speed of the camera and the width adjustment of the shutter slot. To obtain an exposure time of 1/15, the rotation speed of the motor is set on B and the slot on 1 and 5. Exposure correction is possible by adjusting the width of the slot at its lower or top end, to avoid under or over exposure of picture parts. On the picture, on top of the slot, the slider which modifies the film transport from 70 into 60mm can be seen (on the picture set on 70mm).
FILM CASSETTE
As seen, the film is introduced from the right to the left, full cartridge or spool to the right. It is possible to obtain a supplementary back for rapid change of film.

REMOTE CONTROL DEVICE
It is possible to extend this release up to 100m. To enable this a plug can be found at the top end of the release. The release button is marked "Rotation" and a switch allows to select automatic or manual position.
U-SHAPE MOUNT
With this accessory the camera can be used upside down. It is thus possible to make use of the possibility of shifting the lens downwards by 30mm.
