i wish you were here with me now

the sun was burgundy and sifting through the leaves
shadows were long and light was slow
the gravestone we leaned on cold
the path deserted and the traffic disinterested

we were so god awful tense
shaking we talked of foreshadowing and anger
i cried for the beauty and you held my hands
wiped my tears closed my eyes kissed me made it better

[theres a cemetery across from the movie theater where i live. i like walking there. this particular instance has never happened, which sort of makes this a lie, but oh well.  i wrote this from a fragment of something i wrote in instapoem on bolt.com. i like it, so here it is.]
