Ok, here's the problem as i see it!
Mimsie and I live in an apartment with that radiator-type heat....... they - the 'Apartment Gods' - control it. And, it is NEVER on when it's cold! Middle the night, 30 below zero - NO HEAT!
BUT..............
Middle of the day, 75 degrees out and that heat is a-pumping! Ok, 75 deg. might be a bit of an exaggaration (sp?) but, anyway....
So, I'm at Rich's for the evening and when i return..... 10:00 pm or so, I find Mimsie at the door panting because it's sooooo fucking hot in here!
This is where the dilemma occurs............
Do we.........
OPEN a window to 'cool' it off in here - chance cooling it off so much that in the middle of the night we're freezing our 'tails' off?
Or, do we......
Open the freezer and stand by it all night.... until it cools off...... ?????
I'm not opposed to this option. Problem is.... the freezer is in the kitchen and we don't have a TV near so..... um, standing outside the freezer for a few hours - to cool off - could really get boring! I could read a book...... but, what would Mimsie do? Just doesn't seem like this is something we should have to do... we pay the rent on time.........
Tonight we risked it all..... we opened some windows..... Mimsie is standing-by to let me know when the temp is JUST RIGHT so that we can close them up real fast and still have some warmth at 3:30 in the morning...... when we are usually huddled up together next to the radiator praying to the Apartment Gods to bless us with some heat!
I don't know, guess we just aren't saying the right prayers because so far the Gods seem to be frowning upon us........ errrrrrrrrrr.
Hrmmm..... if any of you out there happen to know any good Apartment God prayers, please, by all means, email us (Mimsie and me) and share them.... we would be forever in your debt!
Oh, gotta go, Mimsie says it's time to close up for the night........... if I don't talk to you tomorrow, Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends.... and just Happy Day to my foreign ones........ *smile*
Kisses.............. jami
