Rock/Progressive Rock
Once again, the terms are being
used loosely. These are all pieces that are somewhat rock or
progressive rock in nature. However, some of these only slightly fit
into this category.
Cathartic
Disintigration * - Not
much to say except that it's a little noisy.
Communism
& Grits - Kind of a
funky, progressive rock thingy. I worked really hard on it and it's
one of my favorites.
Don't
Forget the Swan - One of
my earliest midis. It's a progressive rock styled piece, a little
muddled, but still one of my favorites.
Give the
Pigeon a Muffin - It's
hungry.
Hamsters in
Greece - a silly,
semi-experimental "rock" piece with a somewhat baroque sounding
trumpet solo. This is also one of my favorites, but unfortunately no
one else likes it as much as I do :(
The
Instrumental - (TD/Matt
Sellers) A collaboration between me and my friend Matt Sellers. It
can only be described as a delightfully crazy cartoony type
thingy.
Little
Arturo's Comb * - Inspired
by the theme from "Peter Gunn" and an episode of "The Powerpuff
Girls." I'm really proud of the improvised synth solo.
MidKnight
- A kind of medieval, baroque, rock thingy.
Mutant Soap
From Hell - It'll clean
you off the face of the Earth!
No
Corrections - a short,
silly piece in which I never corrected my mistakes.
Pissing in
My Dryers -
HEAVY!!!!!!.........well....kinda.
Sparrow's
Lips in Blancmange Part
XII * - Inspired by some
of the heavier music of King Crimson.
Taking it
One Half-Step at a Time -
A rock piece made up completely of half-steps. Everything on this was
programmed except for the "guitar" solo, which was played by hand on
my PSR - 540.
Uncle
Alistaire's Brownies -
Your basic progressive rock with lots of guitar and organ.
I also recommend "The Flight
of the Rinslabang" and "What, That's It?" in the Other
section.
