Essential Hygiene Items

Optional Items That Are Strongly Encouraged

Items That Are Encouraged To Save Via Rail Some Money & Conserve the Environment

Via Rail provides the following items, or equivalents [ie: paper towels instead of hand towels] to Comfort class passengers, and most likely all first class passengers. These are disposable items. The first 3 come in 1 package. If you want to protect the environment, and if you need them, and if you already have them at home, then bring them along to save Via Rail some money. If you don't need them, then politely reject their offer. If you do need them and don't have them, then accept their offer.

Items That Depend On Your Situation

Unnecessities

Do not bring the following items. They are already provided by Via Rail and most of the places that you will be staying at.

Via Rail washes the blankets, puts new pillow covers on the pillows for each passenger, and washes the pillows every so often. Now-a-days, travel hostels want you to use their bed sheets, so that they can exercise better quality control. Motels and hotels also provide sheets, case, pillow and blankets. So, bringing your own unnecessitites, is...is unecessary. :^)
