"Souvenirs from Earth (Before the global warming)" is a series of objects with
the controversial theme about when the weather on Earth was stable.
The pieces are constructed objects made out of different elements such as
painted ostrich eggs mixed with metal and wood stands parts, I also use
natural rocks and sands from different parts of the world. The intention
of these pieces is to show the earth painted with the colors of the
regular seasons of the years, ecosystems, woods, flowers before
depredation. Also in other pieces I paint different aspects that planet
Earth is living in these actual days, like the ozone hole, or the
modification of the poles.
The discourse in these pieces says the necessity to restore the relationship
between man and nature before we have to face terrible consequences.
Global warming is nothing more than other symptom that this living planet
is experiencing, caused for lost of link between the dominant race on
Earth and its source of live, which is the same planet.
