You've got a phototograph or a video tape of an image you love; a treasured view from a vacation or a special moment from a family celebration. Or maybe there's a specific scene from a movie or tv show that you've always wanted a picture of so you could see it whenever you liked, instead of having to stick the video into VCR just to view it! Whatever the image, be it a friend or family member, a celebrity or place, Artworks will transform it into something you can hang on your wall and enjoy every day!
The better the quality of your image, the better the end result:
Whenever possible, it's best to work from an actual photograph or printed publication. This is especially true in cases where the subject is a person as opposed to a landscape or object. If you're looking to have a portrait made of someone you know, it's best to supply more than one photo, as an artist can render a more acurate picture when they have multiple references from which to work. If you're interested in having art created of someone famous and your image source was found online, you can save that image to your HD and then send it to Artworks in an e-mail attachement. If you don't have an exact image on-hand, and know only that you'd like a portrait made of your favorite movie star, for example, Artworks can conduct a search online for a suitable image and then provide you with a selection from which to choose.
Art from video tapes:
If the image is not an actual photograph or picture from a magazine etc, but rather something you've seen on a video, there are two ways to go about getting a piece of artwork created from it.
1. If you have the proper video card installed on your computer, you can capture the exact image you want with Quicktime 2.5 movieplayer. Then save the image in one of the following picture file formats: gif, jpeg, or pict and e-mail the image to Artworks as an e-mail attachment or enclosure. If you prefer to submit the image on a floppy disk, you can do that too! However please note that while Macintosh's can read files created on a PC, they must be viewable in either Adobe Photoshop, jpegview or GifConverter. If you have questions about the format, just ask before you send the image.
2. If you don't have the ability to capture video images on your computer, you can always take your video tape to a local photo developer and have them do it for you. If you're not sure whether or not this service is provided by them, just ask. If they don't offer it, refer to the photographic section of your Yellow Pages.
