tentative plans

Next weekend, we're driving across the mountains to this interview with the company we've been hoping for. They're going to pay for everything and we're going to hope we don't need to rent a 4 by 4 to get there. This weekend the Sierras got something like 6 feet of snow. Mike's grandparents live up in the mountains and they had 5 feet of snow on the ground last night and it rained like hell last night, so they're probably buried in about 6-7 feet of snow.

The cool thing is the place we're looking at had hardly any. I could live with being half an hour from skiing and not having to shovel it myself. With as much snow as the mountains got this weekend, I'm bring up snow saucers for the kids because Sunday is a "look around the neighborhood" kinda day.

We're going up Saturday afternoon, staying over Saturday night and Sunday night. We'll have dinner with the interviewer Sunday night and breakfast Monday morning. It's all rather nervewracking and exciting. Mike said,"I'm going to have to bone up on my syntax." He's got a two hour technical interview, (poor thing!) and they invited me to the benefits overview afterwards. It sounds like they want him bad.

I guess those letters of recommendation from work went over well. (tongue in cheek)

It'd be nice if we could get someone to watch Genny. Russell, I don't mind taking with me, but she's so little, it's not like she'll be polite or something. She'll belch and fart through dinner, if I know my daughter.

Pray, pray, pray for us.
