Contractions and Cleaning.

Well, Mike got everything significant off the floor and the carpet guy did a fabulous job getting all the icky stuff off the carpet. It'll look good for the family visits and walking through the door to come home with my new baby girl.

I dusted while I could get to all these various bookshelves and things. I have to go do the laundry Mike loaded in the car, but the exhaustion thing is kicking in. I'm in super early labor I think.

Last night, I had kind of crampy uncomfortable belly stuff and Mike and I got into bed and could feel the contractions coming and going on my belly. I was in the store today and had a really bad one and just hunched over the shopping cart with Pauline standing there waiting patiently. I was like this for two weeks with Russell, so I'm hoping that this time it'll be less time because my body already knows what it's doing or seems to remember it pretty well from last time.

I'm just panicking a little about what's not done. I have so much baby room stuff to do, but I can't do most of it without a bureau for the munchkin. I can't buy my highboy dresser without my disability check, which so far hasn't come in. I'm hoping it will be here today or tomorrow, so I can go get that this weekend and get my dresser moved into the baby's room and get the bassinet moved into my room.

Oh, and this afternoon, I looked in the mirror and could suddenly explain why my whole crotch feels like someone stomped on it -- I dropped last night. We got a copy of our wedding video from last weekend and I showed Mike my belly and he was watching the video and compared the two and agreed that indeed, I dropped,"Oh, man, baby, you have dropped!" The problem of course is that I can barely walk, get up out of a chair, bed or any article of furniture. Mike asked me to get up out of a chair to do something he could do easily and I tried to explain it to him like this,"Just imagine that you've now got 20lbs balls, honey and you wouldn't ask me to do that." He smiled and said,"But I do!" He's the kind of sick and wrong man, a woman like me adores!! Now I'm nervous because the hearsay is that second babies drop just before they deliver. YIKES!

The Nesting Nazi freaked out after that and I've already scrubbed down the childseat and have it drying in the tub. I've got all the childseat liner things laundered and I'm going to be getting the changing table at least cleaned off on top, so I can use it. I'm going to take all the little clothes underneath it and launder them this weekend and HOPE that I've got time to do so. Mike and I are rearranging the livingroom and I'm in complete freak out mode -- along the lines of so much to do and so little freakin' time!!!!
