Daddy-O

Yesterday, I gave my husband the baby to hold and he toddled off into the bedroom to put her down and then got lying there and enjoying holding her so much that they both crashed on each other. I have a picture of her in pretty little outfit, holding onto Daddy's arm and the two of them are out cold.

I took Bear to his first official swim lesson. Criminy, the prices rack up. First, the swim lessons are $23/2 weeks...so that's $46/month. The parking pass is $18/ month, and NO, I can't have that as a payroll deduction, thank you very much. If I did, I'd have to pay for 6 months of pass when I only need 3. Add this $64 to the $420 I'm spending, and he's damned expensive. I told him he couldn't complain (he had complained) that his sister was expensive because he's a lot more moolah! *sigh*

Come Fall Quarter, I'll be getting a pass for Mike again, but we're going to get the cheaper one, probably, to save the extra $15 a month. This pass I bought is for one stinking parking lot on the campus associated with the pool, so it'd be good to get Mike one he can use for school.

I've got to do the budget. It's becoming my mantra. I hate it. Not knowing. I hate it hate it hate it. Gotta do the budget. Gotta do the budget. Gotta.

I think I'm going to have to go back to work to do the budget. Honestly, I don't have time at home. I spend so much time with Russell haranguing me for whatever it is he wants from me in that moment, that I can't hardly get a second. That and I need to do it with Mike and he's braindead at night, after Bear's asleep. That and Genny is usually awake then.

And I'm ready to string up my 6 year old for losing his brand new sports sandals. Anyone want a 6 year old cheap? I think he's the one kid I love/hate to stay at home with. I feel mean to feel that way about him, but I do. He wants to be entertained, and no, swim lessons and camp aren't enough. And he'd much rather whine than help me with housework, but couldn't I drop everything and take him to the pool? When we get to the pool, I try to put the baby in the water and I'm supposed to watch him dogpaddle 3 inches every 2 seconds until I finally start saying no, I can't and then finally have to yell at him, when he won't lay off. He's been really horrible.
