The Bird House Snipe
Birdarious Maisona Gallinago
Habitat: North & South America
Distinguising features: distinctively long bill, brown spots and zig-zaggy lines on posterior region of this non-migratory bird.

Note the extremely long bill used for catching bugs without leaving home. This bird is a lazy, sit around the bird house all day bird, with much similar mannerisms as the TV Dinner Snipe. With brown spots and zig-zaggy lines on its back, this species flies off low to the ground and calls out hick-hick-hick, etc...

Hunting notes: The average snipe hunter is better off forgetting this species in their pursuit, as it lacks challenge and the need for vigor. However, for first timers with a difficulty in walking or running long distances, this bird is recommended as a warm-up hunting bird.
