The Rail Road or Hobo Snipe is a very social bird, amongst others of its kind but is looked down upon by other species of snipes, particularly the less-common Volvo Snipe. It tends to nest in groups and primarily eats grass-hoppers and beans. This bird's migratory pattern follows the trains that they hop, whereever they may go. Hear their call.
Hunting notes: Unless you are well versed in railroad schedules, destinations, and traveling routes, you may want to resist the temptation of pursuing such a bird -- especially if you have a family that needs you back at your place of residence. But if you are single, have nothing to look forward to in your life and perhaps are even without home, you may find this kind of hunt rather enjoyable and a well-spent leisure activity. Just watch out for the railway police. They don't take too kindly to snipe hunters of this kind, as they like to feed the Rail Road Snipe on their lunch breaks. They often like peanut-butter and banana sandwhiches.
