The Winter or Abominable Snipe
Sasquatious Gallinago
Habitat: The artic regions of Minnesota and surrounding states, not excluding Canada or the Greater Northern Regions of the globe.
Distinguising features: White and an accompanying nasty temper.

This is a rare picture of this illusive bird. Long thought to be a myth, this bird has been known to attack hikers and small dogs with it's very long sharp bill and vanish only being seen by the victim. Hear its terrifying call.

Hunting notes: Only the bravest, and perhaps most foolish, of hunters would ever have the guts to hunt down such a bird. The Winter Snipe has been to blame for the repeated reports of disappearing snipe hunters in the greater northern regions. Our hunting advice for you? Don't go there. Perhaps you should even reconsider your decision to go snow shoeing down paths undiscovered by men, unless you like that slow, gnawing sensation of the Winter Snipe's very long, sharp bill. The choice is yours. But if you find yourself being stalked in a Velociraptor-type fashion, don't ever say we didn't warn you.
