Here are some
quotes I have
been amused by
recently
Celery
Our conscience obliges us to warn shy people of this aphrodisiac property of celery that they might abstain from eating it, or at least use it prudently. It is enough to stress that it is is not in any way a food for bachelors.

Quoted in Grimod de la Reyniere by Giles MacDonogh
I found it in Max Lake Scents & Sensuality,2nd ed. 1991, Futura Publications, GB
A pleasant meander through the sense of smell and taste.

The engine is killing the track, the track is silver,
It stretches into the distance. It will be eaten nevertheless.

from Totem by Sylvia Plath.
Copyright means I cannot quote a whole poem. What can I say? Go out out and make her copyright owners rich!

Australians will remember a certain Christopher who fled justice to live in Spain and pleaded that ill health - a lung condition - prevented his returning to cop what was coming to him. The papers reported that his grandmother was most upset by his behaviour. That's just our Christopher I suppose.

This was published in 1984 (long before Christopher left) in Taking Off, ed. Tim Dowley, Methuen, GB, 1984. A fun read.

Christopher Robin Goes Goughety Cough
Christopher Robin is drawing his pension:
He lives in a villa in Spain:
He suffers from chronic bronchitis and tension,
And never goes out in the rain.

By Paul Griffin.
Unfortunately my scruples prevent me bringing you the whole thing.

Hi If you like you can send me your list of pages with stuff right down the bottom of them.

I figure there is probably a club for people who do this. So if you know of one let me know! I will happily link to your low down page from down here so if you have a low page let me know!

*inane grin*

CURIOUSLY, no low down pages have applied

Am I the only one who cares?
